A. Right of Withdrawal

Introduction

Consumers are entitled to a right of withdrawal in accordance with statutory provisions.

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed.

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day,

  • on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods,

  • or – if you have ordered several goods as part of a single order and they are delivered separately – on which you or a third party named by you took possession of the last goods,

  • or – if the goods are delivered in several partial shipments or pieces – on which you or a third party named by you took possession of the last partial shipment or the last piece.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by means of a clear statement (e.g. by letter or e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

You can use the attached sample withdrawal form for this purpose. However, the use of this form is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you for all payments we have received from you. This includes the costs of the cheapest standard delivery we offer.

Additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than our cheapest standard delivery will not be reimbursed.

For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

In no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment.

We may refuse repayment until

  • we have received the goods back or

  • you have provided proof that you have returned the goods,

whichever is the earlier.

Return of Goods

You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract.

The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

Cost of Return

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

Compensation for Value

You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for checking their condition, properties and functionality.

Exclusion or premature expiry of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for, in particular:

  • Goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery.

  • Audio or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package, if the seal has been removed after delivery.

  • Digital content that is not supplied on a physical data carrier if we have begun to perform the contract after you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period has expired and you have confirmed your knowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Notes on clothing, board games, and card games

You may inspect the goods as you would in a retail store.

For clothing, we kindly ask you to only try it on and to leave all tags on the item until you have made your final purchase decision.

For board games and card games, we kindly ask you to only open or use packaging, seals and game materials to the extent necessary to inspect the goods.

Any handling of the goods that goes beyond the usual inspection can lead to a claim for compensation for value according to the statutory provisions.

General Notes

  1. Please avoid damaging and soiling the goods.

  2. If possible, return the goods to us in their original packaging, including all accessories and packaging components.

  3. If necessary, use suitable outer packaging to avoid transport damage.

  4. Please do not send returns freight collect to us.

  5. The above notes are not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of your statutory right of withdrawal.
